HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN (Revisited)
Un vieux folk song, enregistré pour la première fois par Clarence Ashley en 1933 et devenu un hit international via la version des Animals en 1965. J'ai joué ce morceau depuis les années 1960 puis nous l'avons quasiment interprété à chacun de nos concerts avec David dans les années 1990-2000. Voici un nouvel enregistrement avec de nouveaux arrangements. Toutes les photos de New Orleans sont © Gérard Herzhaft et prises durant mes séjours dans cette ville en 1982, 1983 et 1985.
An old folk song, first recorded by Clarence Ashley in 1933 and turned into an international hit by The Animals’ 1965 cover version. I’ve been playing this song since the 1960s, and David and I performed it at nearly every one of our concerts in the 1990s and 2000s. Here is a new recording with new arrangements. All the photos of New Orleans are © Gérard Herzhaft and were taken during my stays in that city in 1982, 1983, and 1985.
